A 1987 graduate of Derry Area High School, Cathi earned her bachelor's and master's degrees at Indiana Univeristy of Pennsylvania in journalism and English literature. She worked in corporate and non-profit public relations and advertising for 10 years in Pennsylvania and North Carolina before forming her own advertising & design agency, biffBOOcommunication, in 2002.
She is also the Executive Director of the Greater Latrobe Community Marketing Fund, a new partner program formed by the Laurel Mountain Post in November 2007 with The Latrobe Foundation, Inc. and The McFeely-Rogers Foundation.
